    Regional Business Resource Fair


    Scheduled for Thursday, July 12


     


     


    On Thursday, July 12, the Alabama Development Office-Office of Small Business Advocacy, in conjunction with the City of Mobile, Mobile County, Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce and Mobile Works, will host a Regional Business Resource and Procurement Fair. The Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the USA Brookley Conference Center, 254 Old Bay Front Dr. Business owners and entrepreneurs from Mobile, Baldwin, Washington and surrounding counties are invited to attend this event at no cost.


     


    The Regional Business Resource Fair will offer business owners and entrepreneurs assistance in finance, procurement, marketing, management and technical assistance and give them an opportunity to connect with federal, state and local government agencies. "Our office is determined to help start, support and sustain our small businesses as strategy to help grow our local and state economies," said Neal Wade, director of the Alabama Development Office.


     


    The Fair will include exhibitors from the state, local and federal government such as General Services Administration, OSHA, U.S. Small Business Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, NASA, Army Corps of Engineers, South Alabama Regional Planning Commission, Mobile Works, Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance, the Business Innovation Center, and many others.  There will be two breakout sessions presented by the Minority Business Enterprise Center. Topics for the sessions will be Making the Connection with Prime Contractors, and Insights to Better Mentoring.
