Mobile Works can pay up to 50% of the costs associated with training new hires for jobs that pay at least $9 per hour.
Our goal is to partner with area businesses who are in a position to hire new employees in areas considered high growth, high wage, and high demand jobs in Mobile County, states Sydney Raine, Mobile Works President. Areas of focus include industries such as maritime, aviation, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, transportation/materials handling and technology.
Mobile Works is the local workforce investment agency operating under Alabama s Workforce Investment Act. Businesses interested in learning more about the OJT Program should contact Mobile Works at 432-0909 or visit www.mobile-works.org.
