Mobile Works to Host Youth Workforce Summit

Mobile, AL. - Approximately 500 students from area schools in Mobile, Baldwin and Washington Counties will converge on the Mobile Civic Center located at 401 Civic Center Drive on Wednesday, October 8 to participate in the 1st Annual Youth Workforce Summit. This summit will begin at 9AM and promises to feature a variety of motivational speakers, presenters, exhibitors, interactive and high energy activities aimed at increasing awareness of career and educational opportunities in the area. Additionally, attendees will interact with facilitators on a variety of topics including dressing for success and the importance of remaining drug free.

Local businesses, industries, non-profit organizations and schools and are invited to participate through Career Awareness Booths. These booths that will afford students the opportunity to learn more about specific professions, skill sets and required education needed in order to be successful.
