On - the -Job Training Positions Available

Get paid while you learn! Mobile Works has announced that job openings exist for eligible jobseekers through its On-the-Job Training program (OJT). Positions are currently available for the following:
welding
electrician apprentice
warehouse worker
Interested applicants should visit the Mobile Works office at the Alabama Career Center located at 515 Springhill Plaza Court or contact Belinda Thomason, OJT Job Developer at 251/461-4484 . Applicants must meet WIA eligibility requirements.

Likewise, business owners are encouraged to contact Mobile Works to learn more about partnership opportunities. "We realize that hiring and training a new employee is an investment of time and money for your business, states Sydney Raine, Mobile Works President. The OJT Program, funded through the Workforce Investment Act, will pay up to 50% of the cost to train eligible new hires for a period of 11 to 26 weeks.
